Then on to independent Carson City, Nevada

Denver Colorado, Boise, Idaho

The oldest capital is Santa Fe, New Mexico

Juneau, Alaska is cold, I should warn ya

You’ll see a lot of trees in Sacramento, California

Olympia, Washington is sure to be a party

Then Salem, Oregon,

Honolulu, Hawaii

Then to the Midwest with Springfield, Illinois

Indianapolis, Indiana has races to enjoy

Then up in Michigan, the capital is Lansing

Then Madison, Wisconsin, where they have polka dancing

Columbus, Ohio is sure to impress,

In Alabama, the capital is Montgomery,

We’ll go there for a BBQ and show up hungry

Frankfort, Kentucky, and Jackson, Mississippi

Nashville, Tennessee is called Music City

The capital of Arkansas is Little Rock And Baton Rouge,

Louisiana is the home of the green tree frog

Austin, Texas has parks that are pretty '

And the capital of Oklahoma is Oklahoma City

Then to Northeast and Augusta, Maine

Boston, Massachusetts had the first subway train

Concord, New Hampshire, Hartford, Connecticut

Providence, Rhode Island, then you’d better get

Up to Montpelier, Vermont

Where you can get all the maple syrup that you want
